Nature at home - Mental Health

I believe it is important to realise the qualities of the natural world, to provide joy to the inner self. On a blank canvas, imagination can take away parameters. Bringing in the outside, to the inside, can heal the mind and generate emotion.

Designs to inspire

From a collection of ancient trees from fantasy realms, positioned or tumbled boulders in vast landscapes - to simple spot illustrations that could tie in with larger images. I work with the client from sketchbook to final composition.

The power of line

I think in terms of the power of the weight of line with Asian brushes - Thinking of depth - keeping with background, mid and foreground, to allow the viewer to step into other worlds that will not be found on any wall paper, but bespoke in your own private space.

Restricted palette

When a drawing is complete, the viewer will see a structure that provides detail and at times, a presence. Although it is simply a black line brush drawing, it can tastefully accompany with other features of the room like furniture. They can also be subtle and are not meant to work like a full colour painted mural. A bespoke composition that tells a story.

Process

1.Project & image discussion with samples 2.Creation of the brief

3.Photographs and a sketch of the area 4.Final composition to agree

 5.Execute the mural
